cant burn on any media and any software

I had nero ans power iso installed on system and all was working fine.
I then installed ultra iso and all went wrong, I cant burn any disk on any of my software.

I uninstalled everything and reinstalled just nero 7.1.10 wich has always worked for me, but still no go.

I would like any imput pls. My last option I will re install windows using vista home premium now.
 
try another burning tool like ashampoo or cd burnerxp, if still no go try going into device manager uninstalling your cd/dvd drive then reboot the machine when it reboots it will reinstall the cd drive then try your nero or another burning tool, also go into your c drive check there is nothing left of ultra iso.
 
have you tried either system restore or insert your windows disc and do a repair rather than have to do a full clean install.
