Can't Connect to Internet.. New Rig

Windows 7 installed successfully first try. Wow.

My newly built computer isn't detecting my wired internet connection. I have cross checked the ethernet wire with a laptop to confirm its operation.

What should I try next?

Make sure you have installed the LAN driver.
Did you install the drivers on the disc that came with the motherboard?
