Can't connect to msn/yahoo messenger or IE7 but fine with firefox......Help Please!

I can't figure out whats wrong with this, for some reason I can connect to firefox and browse the internet fine but IE7 says can't display page. I've tried practically everything in the options menu and nothing works. Also msn/yahoo IM won't work either. I try the basic internet connection in msn and it says "your gateway appears to be offline. I click to repair it but does not work.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I pretty much have given up and it seems like a small problem if firefox can connect just fine.

Thats why Firefox is the best. Have you tried reinstalling the programs? Thats the only thing I can think of right now.

Stop using IE7 and start using firefox?

Power cycle your modem and/or router..

-Unplug your modem and/or router, wait 1 minute.
-Plug your modem back in, wait for it it to initialize (boot up and get online)
-Once your modem is back online, plug your router back in (if applicable)
-Reboot your computer
-Load windows, and try your instant messengers/IE7 again

If the problem persists, let us know
