I reformatted my computer and since then i haven't been able to connect to the internet.

The wireless internet is BT Home Hub 8mb
I have a USB2 Netgear RangeMax NEXT M Wireless adapter in my computer.
I installed the Netgear software which shows connectivity etc.
On the Netgear software AND on the Windows connection icon it shows Very Good or Excellent connection but when i try and connect to the connection it takes a long time trying to aquire the IP address then says limited or no connectivity.

I think it's trying to find the IP address but can't so does anyone know how i can fix this?

No LAN drivers came on the disks i got with my motherboard.
It's an ASUS P5S-MX SE

It's not finding an IP address for the network, that's the problem.

Is there a way i can try manually typing in the IP address or something? Or is that i don't have network drivers on my PC? arrgghh..

Ok, try this. Start > run > type "cmd" and press enter < in the black screen, type "ipconfig /renew" and see if that helps to give you an IP.

I've tried that - doesn't work, just says something along the lines of "couldn't connect to the DHCP server" and I tried typing ipconfig /all and typing the IP given there in manually, it stops it showing limited or no connectivity and goes up to 48.0mbp/s but STILL isn't connected to the internet. :(
