Cant connecvt wirelessly

Hey my friend came over the other day and was ****ing around with my computer said he would install windows blinds for me. When he went to go get something to eat i look at the computer and it says somethin like changing sid number. that didnt sound good so i ended the program, but lots of my stuff got reset so i rollback to a day before this. It loads up on i think Jan 23 what i rollbacked too. But then my wireless internet doesnt work on my laptop wtf??

What kind of laptop?

Do you see networks, but just can't connect to them?
Does it connect and then drop the signal?
Is there a hard switch for your wireless?
Is there a function key that toggles your wireless?
 
Check the device manager to make sure that the wireless is still detected and driver properly installed. Other than that, have your "friend" undo whatever he did.
 
Ya it shows the networks but usually when i type the wep in it connects but it starts goin to another screen retypre info and says error cannot save ..... so i think that sid messed up my comp and neep to format?
 
Try doing a system restore back to a day prior to him screwing things up and see if that fixes the problem.. it should.
 
i did and it doesnt it is wierd.... what is an sid anyway??

because it works after he did it ..... but other stuff is ****ed up ...... And i cant read cds either to try and re-install proset wireless. Says image is ****ed up.

Either get your friend to come back and fix the mess or you will have to reformat and reinstall windows yourself.
 
i phoned him and he doesnt no how to redo it. He said he was installin windows blinds and it re-writes some shit , But he doesnt know how to reverse it if system restore didnt work :(
