Can't copy data

I have two WD External Hard Drives and I can't copy some things to them. I don't think it's my hard drive because I can copy 70 GB of pictures with no problem but when I try and copy about 40 GB of DVD programs I get an error message. I have an attachment.

If you are trying to copy a DVD with a movie on it then it's not possible to simply copy the DVD. You'll need to obtain software that allows you to "rip" the DVD which will convert the video on the DVD to a file that can be copied.

I personally use a program called "DVD Catalyst" but there are many others out there.

I'm trying to copy about 100 DVD's which I copied to my Hard Drive for easy access. I've copied them before a dozen time with no problem but now I'm having a problem.

Forget the spammer above mate.

How much RAM does this take when doing the copy? You can check by keying CTRL, ALT, DEL and look at the performance tab.

Also make sure any files on the said DVD are not being used elsewhere including mounted ROMs.

Have you checked the size of those files to be sure that they do not say "0 bytes"?
Also have you tried copying them in SAFE MODE?
Also be sure that those files are not from some mounted drive which is now unmounted.
