Cant decide between cards

And the winner is... EVGA again with the fastest effective memory and core clock alike!

eVGA Geforce 7600GT
Core clock : 580MHz
Memory Clock : 1500 MHz

XFX GeForce 7600GT 256MB
Core clock : 590MHz
Memory Clock : 1600MHz

There's probably not a huge difference between any of them. I'm pretty sure you could overclock one if it's slightly slower, but cheaper than another if you really wanted to.

What's XFX's warranty? I know I've been going with eVGA because of their lifetime warranty and I've had good service out of their cards. I actually beleive that eVGA 7600 is the exact model I have.

Here's the deal: We will repair and service your 6-Series, 7-Series, or 8-Series Graphics Card for as long as you own it. All you have to do is register the card with us online. And, should you sell or transfer the card, we'll honor the warranty for the card's second owner, too, as long as they register it with us online. You get protection AND the added value of being able to pass along a full warranty with the card should you sell or otherwise transfer it. Now that's a Double Lifetime Warranty!

Thats what XFX offers on the GeForce 6,7,8 series cards. I believe the XFX i have in my life is a 7 Series.

DOES MEMORY BANDWIDTH EFFECT THE CARD MUCH? The XFX has higher core and memory clocks but has lower memory bandwith by 2-3gb's than the eVGA

In comparison BFG stands taller then XFX while lacking speed when compared. The EVGA wins out over the BFG due to having the faster memory clock speed. The other specs show all three with 12 pixel pipelines, HDTV support, multiple display capability, and Vista ready as well as GDDR3. I "pass by" XFX cards in retail stores like Walmart and keep going.

Is 50mhz worth the 30 dollars tho...? So should I just go with the BFG that is 89.99 After MIR and has a 1450mhz memory clock speed. The eVGA has a memory clock speed of 1500mhz and is 119.99 After MIR? I dont know much about videos card so I dunno if 50mhz is a lot or not.

If you look at the pictures, you'll see the BFG and the eVGA cards are basically physically identical. As I mentioned earlier, you could probably simply overclock the slower card if you really wanted to. Though in all honesty, I doubt you'd notice any difference between the cards, overclocked or not.

Ok BFG 7600GT it is! Thank you PC and TOO for all your help. Once again, I'd be in lala land if it wasnt for this site... TOO - You can simply close this thread after you give me a good resource page for overclock the memory speed on a video card :)

Whats a safe increment level to increase the core and memory clock by to be safe? And are there stress tests i should run after each increment is made?

NEVERMIND, made a post before I read more into the video card 101. SORRY :)

the Nvidia drivers test for stabillity quite good to be honest when you overclock using coolbits. but,.. dont get the newest nvidia drivers,. get the 91.47 drivers (the newer ones dont want to overclock,.. or at least not my cards )
