Can't decide on a graphics card

I wanna sell my 9600 GT and get a better card so I can run games with decent fps on a 1920 x 1200. I was thinking about a 4850 but from what I heard they are hot and you need to turn up the fan speed to cool it. It would probably be loud and it would bother me.

I've noticed a 4850 by Gigabyte though with a Zalman aftercooler which is only 15 dollars more than the sapphire one without a good cooler. The reviews say the fan is loud though...

Some people told me to get a 9800gtx+, but they are expensive and hardly better. When I checked the fps charts, it's only 4 fps better than a 4850 at the resolution that I'm gonna play (1920 x 1200 ). The cheapest 9800gtx+ is only 10 dollars or so more than the 4850 with the Zalman aftercooler, but one by EVGA costs as much as a 4870.

A 4870 is kinda out of my budget, I'd prolly need a good PSU and my CPU would maybe bottleneck it.

Please help.

If you are set on getting a 4850, check out the ones with the IceQ aftermarket coolers. They have really good reviews in terms of cooling, and would help you overclock in the future.

The only downside is the dual slot interface, unless you have room for it.

Edit:

If you have the budget, the 1GB model would help with the larger screen resolution. But it's not necessary at all.
