So a few weeks ago my power supply up and died; I would turn on my computer, it would turn on briefly and then shut down. I replaced the power supply and everything was working fine for a few days. Then while installing video drivers, after the computer turned off to restart, it wouldn't start up again. The computer would turn on, the fans would turn on and so would the video card and sound card, though nothing ever appeared on the monitor and the devices plugged in (the mouse and keyboard have small lights which normally turn on) wouldn't turn on either. So basically, the computer turns on in the sense that the core components are receiving power, there is just no picture on the monitor or any signs of the computer booting up.
Troubleshooting I have done so far: I tried my old video card which still works, I tried my old power supply which is significantly weaker than my new one and the problem still persists.
Any ideas as to what might me causing the problem would be much appreciated. Thanks
