cant get 3dmark06 to work

well ive installed 3dmark06 10 times and every time it says cant find openAL dll im running windows vista x64 ive already downloaded openAL and ran it updated my DX still cant think of anything else to do... any help would be great thanks
 
Whats the missing DLL called? IIRC You'll have to google for it, download it and sit it in the specified folder. Which is either Sys32 somewhere, the Creative folder or 3DMark folder. Google has many threads links to this problem, I've had it occur with my Creative card about 3 times now.
 
1) Grab a copy of openal here: http://www.openal.org/downloads.html
2) Save it to Desktop
3) Run the oalinst.exe file that you saved on the Desktop
.... Now for some odd reason this does nothing yet you need to do the following:
4) Go into /Program Files (x86)/OpenAL/ and rerun the same installation file (oalinst.exe) located in that folder one more time.

That should do it!
 
got it working,had to take a openal32.dll from xp 32 bit and replace it in my vista system32 folder.. it shows up windows xp on 3dmark.. smooth now thanks for the help guys :D
