can't get connection

I finally got my laptop fixed and it's working fine. it's still a little slow but my main problem is that I can't get internet connection. I don't know why. What should I do?

i take it is wireless. hit start and right click on my computer and go to manage then go to device manager and see it there is any exclimation marks
 
now i have to ask, you do have a wireless access point correct. also what does it say does it say it cant find any connections or it cant controle the wireless adapter
 
Also, what kind of laptop is it? Look for any physical switches on the exterior of the machine that control wireless (could be a side-to-side switch or a button), also many machines have a function key to toggle wireless on/off. Look on your number keys for any symbol that looks like wireless and press Fn + # to toggle wireless.

Not saying that's it, but always something to look for.
 
better elaborate more on the issue so that we can help you out.... we dont get a picture of your setup....
