I bought a Spectrum ES2251 Router/Modem and my PC is connected, but I can't get my Vizio SmartScreen TV to connect. No network for it even shows up in the "Network" section of my TVs settings
No, it's both. The tech at my internet provider confirmed itFrom what I've searched online, that model is only a modem not acombo unit.
They are the ones who are supposed to know. My PC and phone are working fineThen I doubt it has wireless. You should see a wireless light on it if it has it. Like I said, I wouldn't trust the techs very much.
As I said, don't put much trust into them. I'm sure your pc and phone are working fine since you actually have them plugged into the ports on the back of the modem. Any wireless router will have additional lights on them letting you know that the wireless is actually working. Since your model has no wireless lights, it doesn't have wireless. Sorry but thats the way it is.They are the ones who are supposed to know
When I said phone, I was referring to my Smartphone. It's not plugged into anythingAs I said, don't put much trust into them. Either do what John says or go away. He's trying to help and you're acting like an old person set in their ways.It says WiFi in the ad. If my smartphone worked with my old modem and still works, the logical conclusion is it's connected to the old modem
How can it still be connected to the old modem if you switched it out?It says WiFi in the ad. If my smartphone worked with my old modem and still works, the logical conclusion is it's connected to the old modem
