I have this problem. I cant hear voice from my buddy on msn. I installed Windows 7(had XP previously and worker ok). His mic is OK, we tried AIM and MSN messenger. I can see the sound bar moving but i cant hear any voice.
My mother board is GA M55S S3 with integrated soudncard Realtek ALC883.
I can hear music normally. Only problem is in voice communication. He can hear me normally too.
What could be causing it or how to fix it?
EDIT: im using windows 7 home premium 32 bit
