Cant I run: ???

Well I was just wondering, Could I have IDE, and SATA drives installed on my computer? Or can I just run 1 type.

I was thinking of running an IDE DVD-ROM Drive, and a SATA HDD. Could I?

And if I did, how would I configure it?

Would I have to set the IDE DVD-Drive to Master, and the SATA to the first, SATA slot?
 
yep you can run both. there are settings to use either one or the other in your bios normally (i run sata raid and ide regular) and you can choose as long as your board has them, which most boards do.
