Can't install Windows XP Worth Crap

I'm trying to install Windows XP to my secondary hard disk so I can dual-boot Windows 7 on there because it won't show up in the installer. However, when I go to boot from the CD, it says the NTLDR is missing, and when I try and open the CD myself, it says that "G:\SETUP.EXE is not a valid Win32 application."

No, I think the problem lies when he tried installing XP after windows 7 was already installed. If that is done incorrectly, then the boot loader gets corrupted and windows 7 won't load. There is a certain process that must be done when installing XP after windows 7. I'm at work now so will post up once I get home.

I may be mistaking, but I believe that has to do with your hard drive being set to AHCI mode instead of IDE mode.
John35 is right, if this were the problem, the OP would be reporting a BSOD when attempting to install XP.

Follow the guide on this page.

You need option 2. When windows 7 is installed first. If its not done correctly, windows 7 will not boot.

Also if you are running in ahci mode then you will need ahci drivers before XP will see the hard drive.

edit - also make sure the xp cd isn't scratched and the cd drive is working properly.

You don't need to do that. Download EasyBCD, run it on the XP install and modify the boot entry to include a Windows 7 boot. Choose which order you want it, and save. Restart. You can then go ahead and uninstall EasyBCD if you wish as it wont matter.

Which is basically what the guide says to do!!!!!

Read what I said again. I said he doesn't need to do ALL that. Parts 1 - 7 of your guide are unecessary for the OP. All he needs to do is the BDC bit, which takes like 1 minute.

I currently have WXPHE installed. However I installed vista on the previous secondary hard disk and the bios still thinks it's installed. May that be the problem?
My main problem is that my secondary HDD is missing from the installer. I also tried resetting the jumper and reformatting the primary slave hard drive, but no luck. I accidentally set the jumper on 32GB clip while it was formatted on 80, so after I formatted it my pictures were gone.

If you want to install XP and 7 on ONE HDD then make sure you have at least 2 partitions available. One for XP and the other one for 7.
It doesn't matter which OS you will/or is install/installed first.
If Windows 7 is installed first then in Disk Management shrink the main partition and use the rest of the space as a new partition for XP.In this case as an example the letter "E:" is used as an XP partition:

If you want to install XP and 7 each on it's OWN HDD (which means you have 2 physical drives) then the things are even easier.
Just install each one to it's own drive. It doesn't matter what drive is for what OS as long as it's big enough for the OS data. Here is an example for 2 drives:

Also as johnb35 said...
Be sure that in BIOS you do not set the mode to AHCI since Windows XP setup will then not see your drive(s).If you want to use AHCI then you will need to slipstream AHCI drivers on your XP disk:

NOTE: Usually it is a good habit that if you want to have multiple Windows operating systems installed, that you install them from older to newer.Same applies for programs like Microsoft Visual Studio...
But it's not a rule. You can do the opposite too...

Cheers!

For god sake. He has both installed, the boot loader has been overwritten, and simply needs to be re-written. That is what EasyBCD does, and it takes 1 minute. Stop complicating it. And if you were going to use any disk management function in Windows, you certainly wouldn't use Win XP over Win 7.

To the OP, just use Easy BCD and get on with your life.

My main problem is that my secondary HDD is missing from the installer.

According to that post, XP installer cant see the second hard drive. So he cant install XP. Which basically means he has ahci enbled and xp can't see the drive to install to it. Is this correct?

If not please explain in detail what the exact issue is.
