Cant OC card with vista

I've tried to OC my card and for some reason the ntune says that it fails the performance test, even if I try to overclock by 1mhz. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Yes, I had problems w/ nTune. Do not use that program for anything. Uninstall it.

Is there a coolbits or similar "hack" for vista? Im wondering if its something to do with vista or if its something with the ntune.

I think Ntune should be 'discontinued' its shocking

Download RivaTuner and ATI Tool. Use ATI Tool to scan for artifacts, and use RivaTuner to overclock the card.

I've done that on my 8600GT under Vista and haven't had any problems.
