cant open 3DMARK

i want to benchmark Dads computer but every time i open 3DMARD06 or 05 i tryed them both the computer just freases i thort i just might take a while but 30 min later still frosen tryed it with the patch still nothink any help would be great hears his rig
CPU - Pentium D945 (3.4GHz)
MOBO - Gigabyte 945PL-S3
RAM - 3G of 667MHz running at 533MHz
HDD - 1 250G 2 500G all WD
VID - ASUS 3850 (512MB)
PSU - Topower 750W
i think thats all u need to know
EDIT : OS win XP pro SP2
 
yea i did the hot fix an still nothing.
the temps are CPU idle 36 while running on load 47.
GPU Idle 30 on load 49.
HDDs idle 27 on load 38
moherboard just sits on about 35
