Ok
I got like 78GB of .AVI files in 45 differnt folders. I can't open any of them for some reason. It was fine the day before. When I click the folder everything is there, all the files. But when try to play it nothing works anymore. I have 3 different drives. C,D,E All the .AVI files in C and E are fine I can play all of them. But I cut all the files from a folder in E to another folder in E (C and E are in same hardrive)and i can't even open the folders anymore. (there is a folder in E I can't even delete, I tried restert but still can't delete it. This was the first folder that didn't work and then the folders from E when I cut it to another folder in E) I tried system restore but didn't work? any ideas?

Lol

I think reinstalling the software you use to play these movies should solve the problem. I had a very simmilar problem with Winamp regarding video files. I reinstalled the codecs and then the program and all was good. Give it a try.

Are u suspecting, software failure, or a major OS flaw
I was thinking that too. but it doesn't seem to be the case. I reformated the D drive (a different harddrive from Drive C and E)and setted it as master and freshly installed the XP pro with SP2. I still can't seem to open any of the .Avi files in Drive E. (All the .AVI files are Chinese, Korean, Japenese Dromas.)

I am going to try to burn some of them into a CD and try it out in another computer and see if it works.

If anybody got an idea of what the problem may be please reply.

P.S Forgot to mation this before. Few of the files that didn't work, worked when doing the system restore. and when undoing the system restore it didn't work agian.

Saw your reply after posting #6.
