Can't Play DVDs in WMP 11.

Hey,

When I try to play a DVD in WMP 11 I get this error (Its the same for any DVDs, even those without copy protection):

Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because there is a problem with digital copy protection between your DVD drive, decoder, and video card. Try installing an updated driver for your video card.

Please help as I am running the latest drivers avalible on the ATI website.

Thanks,

Tom

If you dont already have a DVD player codec (like Cyber DVD and stuff) then WMP wont play them, as it doesnt have its own codec. I use Media Player Classic for my DVDs.

what is media player classic? can you install that and have wmp 11 at the same time? does it work on vista (business edition so no dvd playback)?

try the link I sent you it has codec's built into it so dvd playback should work, if not you could try what Burgerbob said and use a program for dvd playback(powerdvd, windvd, etc...)
