Can't Print Over Home network

Hi all

I have a desktop PC (running Win XP), hardwired to a router : the PC has a printer attached (Epson D88) which is set as a shared device.
My wife's wireless laptop (Vista) can print to this no problem.
I am now trying to set my wireless netbook (Win XP) up to print. I have gone through the wizard and set it up as a default printer - no problem. A simple Word document appears to send the print, but never actually prints out. According to the printer properties only 363kb are sent out of 365kb, so the printer never starts as it hasn't received all the information..

When I try and send a Test Page, the data halts at 264kb out of 265kb.

Has anyone ever seen this before or have any idea of what might be going on?
Thanks for your thoughts.

Double check the spelling and pathing on the printer properties. The reason it may not be printing is because there could be one little spelling mistake.

If that doesn't work with double-checking the network ID for the printer, try reinstalling the printer drivers for the printer, and make sure they are the correct version. An older set of WinXP drivers pre-SP2 may not work on a new netbook that has an updated SP2 OS.

Thanks for your thoughts guys.

I'm sure it's not a mistype as I used the browse button to select the printer. In addition to this I had already deleted and reinstalled the virtual printer once in an attempt to get it working.

I did install the latest version of the printer driver and this half cured the problem in that all the data got sent - but it still didn't print out.

Thanks for your input anyway.
