cant remove CD drive!?

Starting my build and I'm salvaging HDD and CD drive from old comp

Got HDD out no problem cage was held in by 2 screws , however CDs I removed to screws going directly into it it slides back but seems to get caught on something , tried everything from bending cage to just yanking on it (lol) but can't remove it.. cage is held in by screws from other side and my other side panel won't come off
 
What computer or case is it in? Does the front cover come off? Usually you have to take the front panel off to remove/insert cdrom drives.
