can't remove roxio

Windows XP. I went to add/remove programs and tried to remove roxio media creater 9 but it refused to be removed. I tried again in safe mode, same thing. I then went to program files and tried again but still no luck. I then opened up the roxio folder and began deleting individual files. all but one deleted but the last one would not delete. I then installed Sony Vegas but roxio appears on top of vegas blocking the screen. It will not go away. I click off the window but it immediately reappears. There seems to be no way to get rid of roxio except for wiping the hd and reloading all my programs, any suggestions?

You have too many entries left, your best way now is to re-install Roxio then uninstall again.

possibly related to above

I tried lenux suse 11.1 but went back to windows "XP. My 200Gig hard drive now shows only 137 gig capacity. I did not make any changes in the disk setup, no change in jumpers. Just read an article about pedo's posting on other people's computers. is there a way to discover what happened to the other 40 gigs on my HD?

You have a old XP disk that cant read a larger harddrive. You can either install SP3, then go to disk management and partition and format the rest of the drive, but you end up with 2 partitions. Then use a 3rd. party program and merge the partition or deal with having 2.

Or just download nLite and SP3. Use nLite to slipstream SP3 to your XP cd. Then you will have a XP cd with SP3 on it and just reinstall and it will see the whole drive. And just use that copy from now on when installing.

This same disk read 200 gigs just fine. Like I mantioned it was reading 200 gigs before and I made no changes. I have installed service pack 3 and all the updates. Now, after five years of reading the full 200 gig capacity, it suddenly reads only 137 gigs. same windows XP and same HD. previiously mentined there was no adjustment made on the HD at all. If the problem were that simple i wouldn't be posting.
