I am having a real nightmare of a problem with my computer at the moment and for the first time I have not been able to find a solutions using Google. Perhaps posting the full details onto my blog site will allow one of my readers to offer me a much needed solutions. Here's hoping anyway
I have a Fujitsu Siemens PI2515 laptop computer which, up until recently have been very good and served its purpose fair well.
I have been trying out some different Os's including Windows 7 (have to say that this is the best OS that Microsoft have ever done and certainly a million miles better that Vista) Trying out these Os's has meant that I have needed to format my main partition and do fresh installs using DVDs which I have burn. All the time , I have been conscious that I have a hidden partition that contains my original Vista software and all the drivers that were on my machine when it was purchased. I just need to press F8 on boot up and select the repair my computer option.
Well, I wanted to restore my PC recently so I followed what I was supposed to do and it seemed to load, up until I saw that the restore option was for Windows 7 and not Vista which is in the restore partition. It seems that I have somehow destroyed the link between the F8 key and the hidden partition.
My question is, cant this be fixed fairly easily and is there a way to make a boot able DVD of this partition thus allowing me to delete it and free up a load of space on the hard drive.
Anyone here know a solution.
