cant seem to open internet sites

Im using xp pro sp3 and internet explorer. Evertime I click a website it doesn't load properly. It gets stuck in the middle of getting downloaded. Whats going on?

I have done the following:

  1. Scanned with mse
  2. scanned with malware bytes
  3. scanned with super anti spyware
  4. updated windows.

I cant seem to resolve the problem. Please help
 
Reboot your modem and router and see if that improves things. If you are able to update windows then you are technically getting internet.
 
Tried that, it didn't really work. Resetting internet setting to default helped slightly though. Any other suggestions?
 
Lets scan a little deeper into your system and make sure its not malware related.

Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.

  • The ComboFix log
  • A fresh HiJackThis log
  • An update on how your computer is running
 
A big thanks to john35 my problem has now been sorted. Resetting the modem completely again solved this issue. I appreciate your help. Thanks.
