CAN'T SET UP LINKSY ROUTER! Why is it so difficult?

I been trying for hours and hours and months..and I really mean months. :(

My laptop doesn't recognize it and when doing the physical set up... How am I supposed to keep my dsl connection still on ? As it requires to take out my internet line and connect to the router. I'm so confused :confused:. I've had this router for so long and cant make any use out of it...and my laptop is useless without it too...:(:(:(:(:(

can someone please please please help me out with this ? :(

okay i've solved one problem on my own ...my pc is connected to the internet now but my laptop still doesn't recognize the router

what do i do ??????? :(
 
Describe what you mean my laptop doesn't recognize the router. Does it see it and just not connect to it? It's probably a setting your missing.
