AS for the problem you are having Papasmurf89. You need your original XP CD to try and repair window in the repair console.. or call the manufaturer of your computer to see if they can help.

your start up record might be corrupt so you might want to try creating an XP boot disk.

Okay, thanks. I think I found the right discs but for some reason they aren't loading when I put them in my CD Drive during start up.

One of the CD's is blue on the top and white on the bottom. On the top in the blue background it says "Microsoft experience" (xp in experience is orange). On the bottom it says Microsoft Windows XP Professional.

The second CD is also blue on the top and white on the bottom. On the top it says Microsoft on the top right. Under that it has what looks like a CD Key. On the right (Still in the blue background) it says Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Frontpage. In between the blue and the white is what looks like a square puzzle piece. And in the bottom (white background) it says Microsoft Office XP Professional.

Are these the right CD's? If so, why aren't they loading?

Thank you.

K the first disk sounds like it is ur Xp disk. The second disk is Office, u cant load office till ur loaded up so that is useless.

I'm assumming that u r using another computer so go on this link and download and put these files onto a floppy or summit. Put into ur pc and turn the fu*ka on.

MICROSOFT XP DOWNLOAD

Hope this helps

Okay, thanks. One thing, whats a "summit"? Also, when I put in the floppy, should it automatically start loading? Do I need to put in the XP CD with the floppy or just one of them? If so, which?

Thanks.

Edit: Wow, I must be really freakin stupid. When I tried to save it to a floppy I get "The file being copied is to large for the destination drive. If possible insert a higher-capacity disc". What am I missing?

Edit, Again: Okay, I tried it with my Flash Drive and nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? Someone. Please?

Okay. I got the CD and the first time that I loaded it, it was great. I didn't even have to reformat or anything. It just sent me straight to my old settings (Well, not straight. I had to go through "Boot From CD" and all that other stuff but still). Well, I forgot to do the system restore and now when I load it up, no matter what options I choose (After the "Boot From CD") it will just start installing Windows. How do I get back (What options do I have to choose after "Boot From CD") to just my normal system so that I can do a system restore?

Thanks.
