cant transfere from hdd to hdd

when i try to move my files to my new hdd the tranfer bar stays on calulating ive let it seat for about an hour and it says the same thang ive trd on vista and on xp

How big are the files you are trying to copy and what filesystem is the drive formatted with?

ntsf move files 600mb is the one im trying to move

ok i got it to go to my c drive whould that mean that thers a prob on my e drive is ther a check i can run one it to find out

To move to different drives just put the drive letter you want in.

You can try running chkdsk e: /r to scan for errors and recover readable data. It will take a while to run, replace e: with the drive letter you want to scan

out of interest, what program did you use to transfer the files? can you tell me how you did this, as its something i've got to do soon
