please help
thanks in advance

You have two threads on this same issue - the other in the "Digital Cameras, Webcams and Scanners" section. Confusing. I posted in that thread on the 12th Dec.

If you are getting live video I guess the camera must be on. Have you tried changing the camera mode? Perhaps it cannot download in that dual mode you mentioned. If so, look to see if you can change mode on the camera.

If the "scanner and cameras" you are referring to is the Control Panel applet, you should not have to go there. As I noted on the 12th, either the camera's software, or the Windows software should start automatically once USB is connected and the camera is on.

No im talking about scanners and cameras in My Computer
No i cant change the camera mode when its connected
No nothing starts when i plug it in:confused:

There are no online manuals so it's difficult to help. I would have thought it was unlikely that the camera would be able to transfer images while it is streaming video from the viewfinder. Windows is not seeing that you want to upload. Have you tried running the Camera and Scanners Installation Wizard that is in your version of Windows (rather than the software that came with the camera)?

Among the reviews at Amazon, uploading the pics was an issue for a few people. Here's part of one review:

"there's no SD card so pictures cannot be viewed on the camera. have to download camera to computer in order to see pictures. bummer. had to look at instruction booklet as it's complicated to use. my son accidentally changed the low/high resolution and compression settings half way through taking pictures, and i think this is what prevented us from downloading the pictures to the computer. i had to delete all pictures, and take out the batteries to reset it. and it was okay after that. installing the software has to be done in a certain order, and i had to do it 3 times to successfully install the software. the 3rd time took only because i got out the directions."

All reviews have to be taken with a pinch of salt but I guess you get what you pay for!

bummer i didnt see the manual because when i buy something i typically think i dont need it.
perhaps i should get in contact with who ever did that amazon review?

I doubt Amazon give out customer details. Try contacting Sakar on their website. Given the fact that photos & "the moment" are usually unrepeatable, definitely a product where one should read the instructions and have some practice first to ensure you know the camera works and you can download the pics.

FYI it's at Amazon under Digital Concepts brand, link, which seems to match the pics at Sakar and ZDNet's sites.
