Can't validate windows.

Heres the deal, i have a fully legit windows 64 bit, It's actually the 120day evalution softweare of windows xp 64 bit pro, [Which i plan to reinstall every 4 months, thus giving me a perfectly legal version of windows for free...i just have to deal with the Evalution software on the bottom right, and havign to reinsatll every 4 months.....]

Anyways i used the key that microsft sent in the e-mail and installed everything worked fine, i have been able to get all the updates for windows, but now i wanted to download the new Privacy Folder add on for windows from microsoft but it needs to be validated, and this is the error i get, not that its not valid, it just gets this error

"Validation is not currently supported for this version of Windows or for this non-Microsoft operating system.[0x80080200]
Why did it not validate?
It appears that you are using an operating system that is not currently supported by the validation process. Only the following operating systems are currently supported:
Windows XP Home Edition
Windows XP Professional
Windows XP Starter Edition
Windows XP Media Center Edition
Windows XP Tablet PC Edition

So im guessing it just doesn't work on 64 bit? How would i validate it then? Thanks for any help.
 
Have you tried contacting microsoft customer support ? If not you might want to try that.
 
Perhaps after a certain date it simply won't validate because Microsoft doesn't WANT it validated. Why? Because they're not in the business of giving out free OS's, last I heard. I've run into programs where after a certain date, the program will simply not work, even if it's never been installed and/or validated before.

It was never validated before this way. Also, It works for 120 days, then after that it doesn't. I'm not even at a month yet.
 
Arm_pit...you're quite the condescending a$$....ask for help, people are TRYING to help you. Might not be the answer your lookng for, but don't be an a$$ about it.

Then don't help. I already responded to the post, so why would you quote it and ask the same thing?

Out of curoisty....Whats the point of saying a$$ instead of ass.....

i am too, but just my $.02.... set the date in your BIOS back about 5 months, that way it will confuse the software
 
All you ahd to do was ask why, I would have responded,


Anyways, the reasoning, if you ahvn't noticed for any good support hat will help you(on website) you get two free supports of phone and e-mail with your windows OS, but this is evaluation software which doesn't give you any free usefull support, If you go to their normal support e-mails that are 100% free 100% of the time, for any problem like this they refer you to e-mail their good support lines.


Hmmm it seems for 64bit you dont get any free support

Well, I dont think thats the problem, since i have only had it installed for a month out of the 4, and I dont mind reinsatlling then, since it always refeshes the speed of my PC by a little, plsu i like my date to be set correctly :) You'd be suprised how terrible I am with dates i need my PC for it.

Okay:) Just needed the details, Arm Pit. You'd be surprised how often they're necessary.
Those "support" prices are obscene. Seems you'd be supporting Microsoft, at those rates!
Ku-sama's suggestion is the only one I can see working, myself... unless it phones home to M$ to validate. If it does, then perhaps M$ has taken your product key off a list after a certain date, meaning you wouldn't be able to validate ever again.

There is you answer - your operating system is not currently supported by the validation process, int hat list it DOES NOT mention XP Pro x64, therefore it will not validate, possiby because the software is not 64 but compatible, therefore if it did even validate it would be useless

Windows XP Pro x64 is considered XP Professional. And yes it does validate, since I have done it before.

What are you talking about? Of course they are, it's made by Microsoft...
 
Anyone have any idea's?

@ everyone who is saying microsoft took my key off and and its to old so it wont validate......It does NOT say it didn't validate, or its not legti, or not genuine or anything, its that it fails. I have also had this only a single month
