Can't view certain Sites

Recently I have not been able to view some sites...it just says "page cannot be displayed" I recently did a windows update, and I was told maybe I have to update my router's firewall or something. Is that true? If it is, I'm not sure how to do that.

Its an Efficient Networks Speedstream 5100 Ehternet ADSL Modem

Well I'm not sure exactly what went wrong...but I did a system restore back to when the last windows update was installed. After the restoration, I updated windows and everything works fine again.
