hello pals.i did capture the image of a windows 7 pc which i intend to install on another pc.how ever i do get an error message of c:\windows not found when i try to use the bcdedit tool to boot to the hard drive using image x.secondly i tried installing the same image using the windows deployment service on a windows server 2008 machine.during the image selection,i get the error message that the image is not a valid wim file.pls the image capture process was sucessfull with no errors but dnt know why i am facing these problems in deployment.pls any corrective comment is appreciated.thanks in advance.

Did you use Windows 7's built-in system image tool? if so, you'll have to either make a Windows 7 recovery CD and select "System Image Recovery" in the options.

thanks but i didnt use that tool.i used the sysprep utility for capturing the windows from the win aiktool but not the backup and recovery.any further suggestions is appreciated.
