card compatibility

I'm going to buy a Gigabyte GV-467D3-512I HD 4670 card that fits in a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard with a Q9550 cpu and running on XP Home SP3. The mobo doesn't have integrated graphics so I won't be able to see anything if I need to download drivers for the video card. What are the odds that it will boot right out of the box?

Yeah, it will boot up. Just uninstall your old drivers before you swap the card out. It will boot with windows generic VGA drives. Just install the new card drivers after you boot back up.

you should be fine either way as the windows install will use generic drivers to display. You probably wont be able to display your full native resolution depending on the size of the monitor
