card for BFBC2

I am looking for a card that will run BF:BC2 at a decent frame rate at 1366*768 resolution. The rest of my system so far is a 955BE, 8GB DDR3 1333 (kingston), HAF case (forget exact model). I will get PSU based on the GPU's requirements. Also yet to get a Mobo, but am looking at a ASrock dual PCI-e 2.0 x 16 for like 50 some USD from newegg.
So far what I was looking at is a HD5870 or GTX550. Which one of these would be a better card? Also, would it be possible to run a physics card with a ATI/AMD main card? Would it really make that big of a difference in the looks of the game?

A 5870 would kick the crap out of that game at that res. As for Physx goes you can have it enabled but we can't talk about how to enable it here. It probably won't make much of a difference in the game. It will just take a bit of the load off of the CPU. If you really want Physx look into the GTX 560 TI. It looks to perform on par with the 5870 and you can find it for less (at least where I was looking).

What is your price range and are you planning to upgrade you monitor anytime soon?

5870 is more than capable like mentioned,Although what is your max budget?

Btw Physx, dedicated or not wont make one bit of difference in BC2 as It uses Havoc physics engine.

Not sure what BF3 will use,I'm betting the same "Havoc".

Budget is 175 USD max.
I will not be upgrading the monitor anytime soon, as it is brand new (like 2 weeks old). I don't really need a higher resolution anyway.

so if a PSU has a 6+2 pin pcie connector, you cant use that card at all?

If your power supply only has one PCIe power connector and is strong enough to push a 5850, then you would need to use a PCIe power connector adaptor off a molex power connector too.
