card question

I am first design a card and I have some wonder , if you plug a new card into a computer slot , for e.g , PCI , so what new with computer when you start it

im guessing your question was:

when you plug a pci card into the computer what is new with it?

Well for one it gains the function of w.e the card was designed to do.

E.g. a graphics card would in term give it better performance on games and such.

Umm you need to install the drivers of the device for it to work, other than that nothing new.

No , suppose that I attempt to design one card used for one device in the laboratory , and must have a software to view any change of that device , and suppose that I had finished that card and plug it into PCI slot , is the computer 's face has any change ???
