Card Slot question

I'm trying to put together a custom pc for the first time and i was wondering if this meant that i have a dual slot capable board: 1 PCI, 1 PCI Express x16, 2 PCI Express x1, 1 MiniCard

does having 2 pci express slots mean you can run a dual slot card such as GeForce 9800 GX2?

No. The slots you are looking if you want dual are the PCI Express x16. What you are giving us is that the motherboard can only install one PCI Express video card.

The PCI Express x1 is designed for newer sound cards and firewire cards, etc.

I think there might be some confussion? The 9800 gx2 is a single card that takes the space of two. So all you need it a sinlge PCIE 16 lane and space under it (two slots). You do not need two actual PCIE 16 inputs unless you want to install two cards like 2x 9800GT in SLI, then you also need an SLI MOBO.
