Case and motherboard question

OK yesterday I purchased this

AMD 643200+ with motherboard

I took it home and tried to put it in my current mid-tower and the motherboard is too big and hits the power supply

So im thinking of getting this?

I just wanna know if my board will fit in that case. Or if I need something else. Thank you.

I ront really know alot about this stuff but when you jsut said that it hit me.

My old board is an intel board so that case must be made for it

ATX is AMD stuff i gather.

ATX is a standard for all boards, there are also other standards that are used. Have a look at form factors for everything you could ever want to read about it.

well industry manufactured computers DO have somee kinky stuff in it. i mean, they do it their own style. so this situation isnt that unusual

Yeah well if yer buying an OEM system, you prolly arent the type to pop yer mobo and plug it into a new case or anything anyways
