Case and PSU

Earlier I had a Thermaltake Toughpower 650W.It blew up so I switched to a seasonic 750W.The PSU I had earlier might not be better in quality from the current PSU but the cable management was better since I can choose which power cables to connect. In this all cables are pre-connected.

I also installed my TRUE 120 rev C today.

My question is I was thinking about painting the inside of my case matte black.I wanted to ask what kind of paint should I buy.Spray Paint or something else and also I wanted to know how to paint the case should I dissassemble the entire case like the HDD rack and also the 5.25 bay Rack or just paint it as it is with the racks installed. And any extra advice on the painting thing would be a help. And should I wash the case first before painting it and how should I dry?I dont know I am very confused and this is the first time I am painting something.

Since cooler master haf 932 has a lot of holes which get filled with a lot of dust. How should i clean it I have used a hair dryer but it didnt work nor did tissues nor wet tissues.

In terms of what kind of paint to use, use spray paint, obviously make sure you strip the computer components from the case first, have fun! :D
If the case is dirty then do not wash it with water, use an anti static cleaning substance, and compressed air for the dust. you can usually get both of these from your local computer shop of from any other company like pc world etc..

I triead getting the can of compressed air but not available and also the spray paint should I paint it all over of just the part I want.Because there might be a colour difference.

Also I read some places I would need to derivet and also apply primer before painting and then rivet it back again. Is that necessary and also applying the primer is a tough job since you cant have ridges of primer forming in the back

Primer shouldn't be necessary, as far as i know primer for metal is just to stop it from rusting.
Another method for cleaning out the dust is by getting the hoover out and carefully using the hose on the fans, heatsinks and the internal/external of the case. Make sure your computer is switched off, but have the power lead plugged in.

primer is to seal minor imperfections in the metal before you apply the paint. Some do apply it to avoid rust, but thats not the primary use for it.
I would also suggest strongly that you sand it down to 1200 grit or so before the Primer and paint. This will aid the paint to stick to the metal.

I am worried about applying the primer since I am not that good a painter.I dont want to screw it up.Since if I leave lumps or ridges while applying primer on the surface then the black paint also would be look bad.

its real easy to use primer (and paint the same). I usually primer with some grey paint anyway, works just as well as dedicated primer.
If you get dedicated primer (like auto paint or such) then I would suggest that you get a pneumatic Air gun to apply paint with (assuming you have a airtank that can use it).

I dont have pneumatic air gun. That is why I am worried about the application since I would have to use a brush.

Also I am worried about the Deriveting and reriveting.

to tell you the truth, a can of flat grey spray paint would do the same job. Just be sure to sand down the area with 80 Grit to start with and move up to 1200 grit (or close). then apply the grey (3-4 coats, 45 minute flash time between them) , then apply your black (4-6 coats, 1 hour flash time between the coats). Should do fine for you.

Ok Thanks Man.Now my problem is rivetting and re-revitting it.Also Should I paint the entire thing or only the interiors.

just paint the interior.
As for riveting and re-riveting, you shouldnt need to do this. To do this you will need a good drill (15 volt or stronger) with a countersink bit to remove them, and a rivet gun and rivets to reattach it. Its really not worth it in the long run.

Thanks.Because all the tutorials I saw they all recomended Deriveting the case first and taking out all the parts and then rereviting it back. Will do it the next time I have a 3 day weekend and no tests the next week
