Case fan converstion

I was reading a review about this case:

The dual 80mm fans in the rear can be converted to a 120mm fan with a dual 80mm fan converter, which is stated there to be better than dual 80mm fans.

Then I found a 140mm fan with a 120mm slot converter. Out of curiosity, would it be possible to mount the 140m fan in place of the dual 80mms?

Also I saw that some people seem to mount fans that large on the outside, is this done? Are vibration dampeners for fans worth it for quiet fans?

That is one seriously bad-ass looking case! I know how it got its name now.

You can put larger fans on the outside of your case, providing the vent is big enough and you have some sort of dust filter.

Larger fans are quiter than small 80mm fans, so if you have a big fan that runs quietly I don't see a reason for dampeners.

Not sure though about adding the 140mm in

Up to the point where the size (area) of the opening(s) effect the efficiency of the airflow from the larger fan.

sweet eh? that case sux, how do you upgrade case components: big mistake man. get an Antec 300 case or so. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042
