Case Fan

I'm nearly done building my PC, I just need the CPU fan, however the case fan arrived today and it's the wrong size, I was wondering is having a case fan is absolutely essential for the computer to function until I order a new one, or is it going to wreck the components?

Okay the way this is worded confuses me. You said both CPU and Case fan. Which is it? Case fans are attached directly on to your case and provide airflow. Your CPU fan is directly on top of your CPU along with a heatsink.

Do you have any other fans on the case that came with it already? If it's the CPU fan then YES you need it absolutely. What was wrong with whatever you got?

Not entirely, if there's only ONE case fan than you yeah need that. At very minimum I advise 2 case fans and preferable more.

No that was to the second thing about not needing a case fan. Yes a CPU fan is always a must.

Sorry for the confusion, I just meant the CPU fan and heatsink is on the way. ^^' I was asking if the case fan was necessary, but now I see it's not, thanks! :D
The problem was the fan I ordered turned out to be about 10mm too small so didn't line up to the screw holes properly, so didn't really fit.
Thanks for the help. :)
