Case Modding (exhaust scoops)

Ok. I'm doing some modding to my new case. Based on my airflow analysis, and the fact that I'm kind of anal about this sort of stuff, I want to customize it a little more than I already plan to do.

What I need in order to do this is to direct the exhaust from a couple 80/90 mm fans away from intakes which are nearby. I would like to be able to have the fan mounted normally, and then with the same four screws if possible, mount something small on the outside of the case that will direct the air at a 90 degree angle from the way it comes out. Preferably this will be some sort of parabolic-esque shape and not a hard 90 degree turn, so that it can force more air.

Short of making something out of fiberglass (I hate working with fiberglass and avoid it whenever possible), does anyone have any ideas as to how I could make these scoops? Something in black or brushed aluminum (already pre-painted, whatever) would be preferrable, but not required.

Thanks for your help,
Kai

I'm not certain if this will help, but...

If you have a case with a CPU duct, you could take that out and screw it on the rear of the case. Might not look the best or be an *exact* fit, but might help to push the air a bit further away from the case.

If you really want to customize it you could look at pvc pipe at a nearby hardware store. There will be smooth elbow pieces that may be similar to what you can looking for. Plus you can paint these whatever color you want.

CPU duct already got moved to the top of the case to supply my strangely oriented Rosewill cooler.

PVC is an idea. I was considering just going to the hardware store to see what I could scrounge together. I have to go anyway to get some Lexan type stuff for air boxes I'm making inside the case.

I'll be posting pictures in a different thread when it's all finished (before and after) if you're interested.
