Case Problem

Hey, I just bought a new case and the ASUS A8N-SLI Premium motherboard. The ports on the motherboard do not align with the template provided in the case. Should I just remove the template? It's only a thin piece of sheet metal and seems like it would come out quite easily. The mouse and keyboard ports line up correctly, but other ports like the audio and such do not. The audio ports run perpendiculiar with the board. The board is ATX and the case was designed to handle this. So, suggestions? Should I remove the thin piece of sheet metal? The board will definately align correctly once the template is removed.

An appropriately sized plate should have come with the motherboard. Just push out the existing plate and push in the new one. This would be your best option. If you don't have it, I suppose you don't really have any other choice but to remove the existing plate.

Yeah, I thought I would have the same problem, but I found out the mobo comes with a tempalte. Push out the one that came with the case, and put in the mobo one. If you dont have one, it wont kill it to leave it empty, but its not great (more dust, something accidentally falling in there).

easiest way to get he thing out is to take the butt of the screwdriver and give the backplate a quick jab (With NOTHING inside of the case mind you)
