cases and mother boards

well an atx mobo will fit into an atx case, most of them are

however a dell mobo wont fit into an atx case and a atx mobo wont fit into a dell case
 
Which is pretty much what i said (although it might be worth emphasizing that not just Dell does this proprietory case/mobo thing)
 
Some Dell upgrades arent that bad (i upgraded my roomates P4-1.4 a couple years ago without hassle .. mostly their newer ones). Compaq is also a pain but most of it lies in getting the case open :P
 
Depends on the Compaq man .... some of them older P2/P3s ... friggen nightmare.. with HP, their current ones arent too bad... their last generation bubbly ones are a pain

dont know if ive said this here before but my friend wanted a an upgrade so he went for the ram, queer stuff one and a half times the size of normal stuff

anyway, before i ramble the motherboard was weird as was the case and psu, i reckon most package built are like this, except maybe alienware but i havent dealt with them so...

That would be a good thing wouldnt it? DDR2 is supposed to be that big :P

Believe it or not some people have a lot of problems opening Alienware cases (they're not as bad as some others mind you but not simple like a LianLi or a Chenming). Voodoo and Falcon cases are nice to play with :) (and the wiring job on the voodoo is insanely nice too)

the yoke im sitting at is easy to open just a quick release thingy, i answered that ddr2 comment on another thread, i believe its not ddr2
