Casual Gaming Comp

Well I finnaly decided. I am not going to build a big High-End system and burn the bank. I am just going to do some casual gaming such as FarCry 1+2, CoD4, R6V2 stuff like that. Oh, and im not really into big flashy LED cases, so please excuse my plain case. Tell me what you think :D

but for casual the 8600 would probaly do, and its cheap

86000 runs farcry and bf2 on prettymuch the max, fear and armed assault on high, and cod4 on medium

why amd and not intel?
core2 is better atm

yeah but you cant find any core 2 duo for that kind of price. thats a good budget processor. good budget build no real complaints here.

Nice Video Card
Can get a better ram for that price
Can get a better hard drive for that price.

Otherwise good.

Yea, FarCry, and FarCry 2 count as casual. They require much less GPU power (less then CoD4).

And the games i'm planning to play are Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, CoD4, FarCry 1+2, Maybe CoD 5 when it comes out (I like the flamethrower, and climbing trees idea). Stuff like that

Oh and do you guys think I should get 2 Blue LED Fans for the side vents on the case? It would look pretty cool =D

I would stay with that video card cos I reckon it will help a lot when trying to run games games in the future.

Also I would get a different DVD/CD Drive cos it says it doesnt write to DVD's, unless your not interested in that of course but it might come in use in the future.

There's no reason not to go Intel. Really I've heard great things about the E8400 (which would be great for you), and at this point of time Intel is just better than AMD hands down, sure you will pay more but that Athlon you posted is really old and the small cache is an area for concern.

Well, it looks like a decent+ cost effective build. Kind of similar to a build I organized. One thing I was wondering though-
