ive got an interview in 3 hours time and i need help about wiring, for comp to hub hub to router you use straight through which is

1.w/g
2.g
3.w/o
4.blue
5.w/b
6.o
7.w/br
8.br

and you terminate both ends with the same cable order

but for crossover ie comp to comp hub to hub what is the cable order and do you terminate both ends the same ie crossover or is one crossover and the other straightthrough

why has it got 2 cable orders for the straight through???

and also the crossover i thought it was one straight end and the other crossover, but on the link ghost gave me there 2 different orders

Thats right, Some people make cables using the colours

(same at both ends for straight through cable)
1 White/Green
2 Green
3 White/Orange
4 Blue
5 White/Blue
6 Orange
7 White/Brown
8 Brown

While some other people make cables using this

(same at both ends for straight through cable)
1 White/Orange
2 Orange
3 White/Green
4 Blue
5 White/Blue
6 Green
7 White/Brown
8 Brown

Both are colour different but do the exact same thing.

EDIT think I messed up here... this is what my book says
(fixed) This is how to make crossover cable...

One end
1 White/Orange
2 Orange
3 White/Green
4 Blue
5 White/Blue
6 Green
7 White/Brown
8 Brown

Other end
1 white/green
2 Green
3 white/orange
4 blue
5 white/blue
6 orange
7 white/brown
8 brown
