Catalyst fan control

Is it just me or should Catalyst control center control your graphics cards fan depending on the temp of your card...for example in gaming it should auto increase the fans speed?

Because for some reason mine isnt,No matter what game i play the speed of the fan does not increase unless i manualy do it myself which is a P.I.T.A.

Whats going on?

Back when i had my GTX 460 the card would increase its fan to cope with the heat.....but my 6950-nothing!

How do you do that?

How did I do what? With the fan control set to auto, the fan speed increases with GPU temp. Just always has, never thought about it. Auto is with manual unchecked.

Idle its at 24% at 37c, like after playing Bad Company for awhile the other day it jumped up to 52c and the fan speed was at 38%. Never really had a problem with auto on the cards I install increasing the fan speed.

Its set to auto,Still not increasing its fan...it never has done.:P

You dont think flashing it had anything to do with it? I flashed mine just to see if it was stable, worked fine but I flashed it back to a 6950. But I didnt think to check if the auto fan control still worked.

Not sure,Maybe...i cant remember if it did on the stock 6950 bios :D

Anyway ive just downloaded and installed that new free app called Sapphire Trixx,Its really good,Tells you all the info on the card and lets you set at what temps you want the cards fan to ramp up,And overclocking past 840 on the core is already unlocked unlike msi afterburnder which you have to edit the file and do manualy.
Much better than msi afterburner.
