So I run the Reg scan and about 50 or so errors come up and I click fix all, don't save a backup, etc. And then it says iut fixes them all, but when i rescan, all the same files reappear and need to be fixed again. Any ideas? Im on Vista fyi.
Don't even bother using CCleaner for anything other then cleaning up IE histories and useless temp files and folders. For a reliable and free registry cleaner that even allows access to main program keys and does remove "orphans" found not just claim to go for RegCleaner found at http://www.dewassoc.com/support/useful/regcleaner.htm
This tool simply creeates a desktop shortcut and no new entries in the registry itself when installed since you are running a self contained executable file once unpacked. CCLeaner is rarely used here since it will simply rush to remove any files without regard at times. That includes files you store in folders you create yourself outside of the MS ones.
