CCleaner wont delete this temp file, why?

Ok so I use CCleaner on the fiancee's computer. Its a VAIO with Vista 32-bit.

She uses Firefox exclusively, never IE. But when CCleaner runs it ALWAYS leaves behind one TEMP file. Its located at:

C:\Windows\TEMP\set907A.tmp

I dont want to try to forcibly remove this file, just in case its a necessary file (I can't imagine why that would be though). But has anyone seen this before? I've tried to find info about this online to no avail.

ITs the most recent version of CCleaner, I double checked to make sure its the most recent version.

How can I remove this file? I know it isn't malware because she scans her computer with both Malwarebytes and AVG Free on a regular basis. This file has been there as long as I have been working on her machine.

I do not have HJT on her computer yet, soon to be remedied. See the next post on this thread, I'll DL HJT and post the log.

Most likely it's safe to delete, but you'll have to do it in safemode, its probably active and thats why it won't delete. It could also be a hidden infection but combofix can't be downloaded at the moment, they are fixing it. Get it here when its back up and post the log.

Try downloading superantispyware as well and see if that finds anything. It has been known for it to catch something that malwarebytes has missed.

Cool, thanks for this thought on that Johnb. I realized that I should have attempted it in safe mode once you said it, duh! SAFE MODE, I cant believe I didn't think of it then.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll try to remove that file tomorrow or the next day, and then I'll say how it went.
