Im thinking of putting this on my computer, but if it is run can you accidently wipe off programs, cos other ppl use this computer and i dont want them erasing everything on here.

You can uninstall programs with this if that's what you mean. It's no different than uninstalling using windows though.

so there will be no harm done if i use the "cleaner icon" and the "registry icon" like i mean it wont delete anything that may be needed by an application. I just like to really double check on these things as im worried something may get deleted and then wont work.

it will not cause any harm . u can uncheck the items you dont want cleaned. anyways, its widely used and has so far not caused any problem.

it just cleans the dumps and temporary files and cleans ur browser history

The cleaner function basically cleans your computer of all the cookies and temporary files, if you're worried that it might do harm then don't run the cleaner. As for the registry cleaner, you can always make a backup of the registry, and then reload it if the programs screws something up.

sheesh, dont get so worried, it does NOT cause any problem. and yes, system does work on some items, but if ur worried abt registry changes, then pls. create a back up

go to run and type regedit.
from there, go to file, and click export. type the name of the registry backup and click on save.

In CCleaner you will be prompted to make a registry backup within the program before deleting registry entries. CCleaner saves these for you in case of any problems.

Just ensure under "Advanced Options" you tick the "Prompt to save " before registry cleaning.

well it removed over 180MB i was worried it was deleting something i needed as i always clean my internet and run the windows cleaner.

It also empties the recycle bin, cleans logs, deletes old temp files.. it really is very useful. I've been using it for 6 months, the registry cleaner as well, and I've never had it delete anything important, an i run it once every two days or so. I think it safe to say that it won't delete anything you need. ;)

First ever time I ran CCleaner, it removed 1.8GB of un-needed stuff, trust me, it doesn't do any harm, you select what you want it to clean up. I've been running it for about a year, maybe more now, and I've had no problems what-so-ever with it! :)

yea i ran it on a clients pc and removed over 4 gigs of stuff dont be so worried i run it every day when i'm done on the new on my pc at home..
