On most cd/dvd drives in the retail not oem box you should find a plastic bag with an ide ribbon cable along with the audio cable there. Sometimes you will see one thrown in along with a board. But that's mainly a drive accessory. Often you don't even need it anyways. With two optical drives here only one even has the cable connected. Yet sound is heard from both drives. Some older sound cards did require those however.
