CD Drive not working

Hi,

Im having some trouble with my cd drive. 1 it doesn't read cds however it does spin up when you put one in there, and 2 it would appear its not on the device manager anymore. I've downloaded CPUID and it says I have 0 drives installed. I have tried to contact the manufacturer but they aren't much help. Any ideas on how I can find out what the cd drive is or how I can get it fixed?

Look in device manager and tell me if there are any entries listed under cd/dvd drives. Is there an entry with yellow question mark or exclamation point?

Did you plug a SATA cable in to it and in to the motherboard? You may have just plugged in the power cable on it.
